Community Link was founded in 1958 by Boulder County family members who wanted to create expanded educational and employment opportunities for their relatives with disabilities. Through the years, the agency has operated a sheltered workshop, a school, projects within industry, and individualized, integrated work opportunities within community businesses.
More recently, Community Link has added personalized home supports, personal network development, and planning assistance for the families of individuals with disabilities that assure a good life for these individuals. The community-based nature of our volunteer and retirement programs are ongoing strengths.
As a not-for-profit corporation, Community Link is governed by a local community volunteer board of directors. People can be assured that all monies received by Community Link are being used for services to our customers and not going to structural overhead or shareholders for large multi-state for profit organizations.
We have a commitment to providing state-of-the-art, best practice services; it is engrained in our culture to consistently advocate for the best interests of the people we serve.
